Our goal is to facilitate access to services, support and education for Primary Care Providers, their patients and their families. Follow the links to access a comprehensive list of mental health and community services offered in San Diego County.

* More individuals with depression, panic disorder and generalized anxiety disorder obtained mental health care from general medical physicians (37%) than from mental health specialists such as psychiatrists (13%), or psychologists, social workers and other therapists (19%).

* Up to one-half of all visits to primary care physicians are due to conditions that are caused or exacerbated by mental or emotional problems.

* Many of the 32,000 Americans who commit suicide each year see their primary care physician within months preceding their suicide, although they may not share their despair with them.
